Chairman and Chief Executive, Asia Pacific, Barclays PLC

Robert Morrice is Chairman and Chief Executive of Barclays in Asia Pacific.

Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Morrice has executive responsibility for Barclays Capital, Barclays Corporate and Barclays Wealth in the region. He is a member of the Barclays Asia Pacific Advisory Committee, of Barclays Capital’s Executive Committee, of Barclays Wealth Executive Committee, and chairs Barclays Capital’s Global Partnership Committee and its Recruitment Committee.

Since taking up his role in Asia Pacific and under his leadership, Barclays regional footprint has expanded rapidly, providing a full spectrum of products and services to a broad client base, with Barclays Capital recognised as a top tier investment bank, receiving multiple industry awards.

Mr. Morrice was formerly a Managing Director and Head of Credit Products at Barclays Capital, where his responsibilities included emerging, high yield and investment grade markets for all primary and secondary credit products, including derivatives and loans.

Mr. Morrice joined Barclays in 1996 from CSFB where he had been a Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income Sales and European Credit Trading. Prior to this, Mr. Morrice was at Morgan Stanley, also in London, where he ran a number of trading businesses.

Mr. Morrice is married with four children.
